Hannibal Officers assigned to the Anti Crime Enforcement Squad (ACES) served multiple narcotic search warrants this week. The search warrants were executed on September 15th and 16th at the following locations which resulted in multiple arrests:

  • On Tuesday in the 1800 block of Chestnut Street resulted in the seizure of cocaine, prescription pills, and marijuana. Brian A. French, 31 of Hannibal, was taken into custody along with two other females. A warrant was issued for French by the 10th Associate Circuit Court of Marion County charging French with Delivery of a Controlled Substance. In addition French had a felony warrant for obstruction in Pike County Illinois. His bond was set at $50,000.00 cash or surety. French remains in the Marion County Jail. The females were released pending formal charges.

 

  • On Wednesday in the 3500 block of James Road resulted in the seizure of fentanyl, heroin, and marijuana. Keeley S. Smashey, 23 of Hannibal, was taken into custody for possession of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Nicholas P. Powell, 37 of Hannibal, was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and endangering the welfare of a child. Smashey and Powell were arrested and released pending formal charges.

 

  • On Wednesday in the 1700 block of Chestnut Street resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Adam C. McAfee was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, endangering the welfare of a child, and a municipal warrant. McAfee was arrested and released pending formal charges. There was no direct correlation to the addresses where the search warrants were executed.
