On Monday September 1st, 2025 at approximately 9:22pm Hannibal Police Officers were dispatched to the area of Fair Oaks for a report of a disturbance involving an intoxicated juvenile. An Officer located the subject, a white male juvenile, near US 61 and Rt. MM who was on foot. When confronted by officers, the subject raised a knife in the air and began walking toward the second responding Officer who had just exited their patrol vehicle. The subject stopped, and quickly charged toward the first Officer holding the knife in an aggressive stance. The Officer fearing for their life fired their duty weapon striking the subject. Officers immediately began rendering first aid on the subject and requested medical personnel. The subject was transported to a local hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. Neither Officer was injured. The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control was requested to investigate the incident. This is an ongoing investigation, and further information cannot be released at this time.
