Hannibal Police detectives assigned to drug investigations arrested a New London Missouri man today for the sale of mind altering substances and drug paraphernalia at his Hannibal business.  The suspect identified as Ronald Glenn Parsons, 54, was originally given a written warning by Hannibal detectives on Monday April 11th for having the mind altering substances on public display in his business “116 Tobacco Road” located at 116 North Street.  According to police reports on Wednesday April 13th a Hannibal detective was able to purchase mind altering substances and drug paraphernalia from Parsons at his business.  Hannibal detectives sought a municipal search warrant and returned later to the business and seized several items believed to be in violation of the recently adopted Hannibal City ordinance prohibiting both the sale and possession of mind-altering substances as defined by the ordinance.  Other items were seized which were believed to be drug paraphernalia.  Parsons was cited and released with a May 16th Municipal court appearance.
