On Sunday (09/02/12) night at approximately 10:39 p.m.officers of the Hannibal Police Department Narcotics Unit, with the assistance of the Special Response Team, executed a search warrant in the 200 block of N. 10th. The search warrant was the result of an investigation of distribution of illegal narcotics within the city of Hannibal. During the course of the search officers located and seized items commonly used in the packaging and distribution of narcotics, a substance believed to be Heroin and a handgun. 28 year old Michael W. Bell, of Hannibal, was arrested at the scene and charged with Manufacturing and Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Bell was placed on a 24 hour hold in the Marion County Jail.
