On July 9, 2026 Hannibal Police arrested Christopher Lee McGruder, age 41, of Hannibal for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and a felony warrant through Marion County. McGruder was observed trying to avoid officers in the 1300 block of Broadway and located a short time later hiding in a back yard. A loaded handgun was found near where McGruder was arrested and magazines atching the firearm were found on his person.
McGruder remains in the Marion County Jail on a $30,000 cash only bond.
A criminal charge is merely an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
