On Thursday, May 16th, the 10th Judicial District Court of Marion County issued warrants on Kaleb A. Jackson, 22 of Louisiana MO, charging him with felony Endangering the Welfare of a Child and felony Abuse/Neglect of a Child. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Wednesday, May 15th. At approximately 2:18pm officers with the Hannibal Police Department were called to the 6500 block of Hospital Drive for a report of child abuse. Witnesses had reported seeing Jackson repeatedly striking a child in a vehicle in the parking lot. Upon arrival officers observed apparent injuries on the child. Jackson was taken into custody without incident. His bond was set at $25,000.00 cash or surety and he remains in the Marion County Jail. Marion County Children’s Division were called to assist with the investigation.
A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
