At about 1231 hours, officers with the Hannibal Police were dispatched to Lover’s Leap due to a vehicle, driven by a 23 year old Hannibal man, driving over the ledge. Initial findings indicate this may have been a deliberate act. Also assisting at the scene was the Hannibal Fire Department, Marion County Ambulance, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The driver was not seriously injured and was able to walk to the ambulance under his power after being removed from the vehicle by emergency personnel. This investigation is ongoing.
