On Monday afternoon, Officer of the Hannibal Police Department responded to the 200 block of N. 4th Street for a report of a residential burglary. The owner reported several appliances and various other items were removed from the residence over the past couple of months. Following a brief investigation Hannibal Officers discovered a known suspect, 37 year old Lance A. O’Brien, had removed the items and sold them to a local scrap yard. O’Brien was located and arrested on charges of Second Degree Burglary and released to the Marion County Jail on a 24 hour hold pending warrants.

A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
