On Tuesday, September 10th, the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County issued a warrant for Jonathan R. Jordan, 37 of Marthasville, MO. Jordan was charged with Tampering with a Motor Vehicle and Resisting Arrest. The charges stem from an incident that began on Monday, September 9th. At approximately 11:16 a.m. Northeast Emergency Communication Center received a 911 call from an individual reporting that their vehicle had been stolen from the 400 block of North 3rd St. At 11:17 a.m. another 911 call was received about a single vehicle crash involving a vehicle and a utility pole in the 700 block of Warren Barrett Drive. The vehicle that had been reported stolen was the same vehicle that was involved in the traffic crash. Officers were able to obtain a description of the driver, Jordan, who had left the area. An officer spotted Jordan in the area of South 9th and Lyon St. When the officer confronted Jordan, he fled on foot. He attempted to get into the passenger side of a vehicle that was not involved. Officers were able to take Jordan into custody without further incident. Jordan was taken to the Marion County Jail where he remains. His bond was set at $25,000.00 cash or surety.
