On Friday, February 12th, at approximately 4:11am, Officers with the Hannibal Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of South 10th. A female reported a male, identified as James Paul Holman, 44, of Hannibal, had forced his way into her home where an altercation occurred. Holman left the house, shot the tire of a vehicle parked at the residence, and then backed into the same vehicle before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported during this incident.

Holman was taken into custody by Hannibal Police Officers at about 10:14 am near Munger St and Colfax St without incident. A handgun was recovered during his arrest. He was taken to the Marion County Jail where he was placed on a 24 hold pending charges.

Late Friday afternoon the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County issued a warrant for Holman charging him with Burglary, Domestic Assault, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Receiving Stolen Property. Holman’s bond has been set at $100,000.00 cash only. He remains in the Marion County Jail
