At 01:46 a.m. Tuesday morning, An Officer of the Hannibal Police Department contacted a two subjects in a vehicle at the Light House parking lot. While speaking to the driver of the vehicle, the officer determined he was intoxicated and arrested him for Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While Revoked. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, the officer located over one pound of what is believed to be marijuana. The suspect, 45 year old Robert S. Friday, of Macomb IL, was charged with Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Revoked, Open Liquor and No Proof of Insurance. Friday was released to the Marion County Jail pending warrants.
A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
