HPD ARREST BURGLARY SUSPECT
On Thursday, October 17th detectives assigned to the Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad (ACES) while conducting surveillance at Oakwood Elementary School arrested a juvenile suspect for burglary. ACES and the School Resource Officers (SROs) had been periodically conducting surveillance over the last couple of weeks due to the school being victimized by a series of break-ins. After the arrest officers were able to receive consent to search of the juvenile’s residence. During the search several items believed to be stolen from the school were located at the residence and seized into evidence. On Friday October 18th an HPD officer transported the juvenile to a juvenile detention facility in Columbia, MO.
