On Wednesday morning an officer of the Hannibal Police Department made contact with a known subject in the 1300 block of Mark Twain Ave. While speaking to the subject, Katie M. Mickels, 26 of Hannibal, attempted to hide her identity and ran from the officer on foot. After a short foot pursuit, Mickels was apprehended and arrested on actives warrants. During a search of Mickels person incident to arrest, a substance believed to be crack cocaine was discovered. Mickels was charged with Resisting Arrest, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Manufacturing a Controlled Substance, A Probation and Parole Violation Warrant and 2 active Marion County Warrants. Mickels was released to the Marion County Jail on a 24 hour hold.
