On Tuesday 08/16/2016 at 1:18 p.m. officers assigned to the Hannibal Police Department Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad (ACES) stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of S Hayden for a minor traffic violation. Officers learned a passenger in the vehicle, 32 year old Terry L Johnson, of Hannibal, had active warrants. As officers took Johnson into custody, he resisted arrest and attempted to attack an officer. After a short struggle, Johnson was subdued and placed under arrest. One officer sustained minor injuries in the struggle that did not require medical attention. Johnson was arrested for Interfering and Resisting Arrest as well as his active warrants. Johnson was released to the Marion County Jail.
