Officers of the Hannibal Police Department were called to the 200 block of Munger Lane Thursday evening in regards to a domestic disturbance. Once on scene, the officer received information that the male subject involved in the disturbance, 27 year old Aaron M. Gauch of New London, had a methamphetamine lab in his vehicle. Gauch denied officers consent to search his vehicle. The department K9 was brought to the scene and alerted on the vehicle. A search warrant was obtained and executed on the vehicle. During the course of the search items commonly used in the manufacture of methamphetamine were located, along with a small amount of what is believed to be methamphetamine. Gauch was arrested for Manufacturing a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Gauch was placed on a 24 hour hold in the Marion County Jail pending warrants.
A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
