At approximately 09:10 a.m. Sunday morning Officers of the Hannibal Police Department responded to a report of a driver slumped over the steering wheel of a truck on Pioneer Trl. Officers located the vehicle in the parking lot of a business in the 3800 block of Highway MM. The driver, 28 year old Robert L. Walden Jr, of Hannibal, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Revoked, Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and an active Lincoln County warrant. During a search of Walden’s vehicle Officers located a substance believed to be Methamphetamine and several items of drug paraphernalia. Walden was placed on a 24 hour hold at the Marion County Jail pending warrants.
A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
