An Officer of the Hannibal Police Department contacted a driver of a vehicle parked in the 600 block of Mark Twain Ave Monday night for improper vehicle registration. After contacting the driver it was also discovered he did not have a valid operators license. The subject, 21 year old Michael A. Robinson, of Hannibal refused to co-operate with the officer and was placed under arrest. During a search of Robinsons person, the officer located a syringe and a small baggie of what is believed to be methamphetamine. The officer then searched the vehicle and located more substances believed to be methamphetamine and marijuana. Also located were several items of paraphernalia and items commonly used in the distribution of illegal narcotics. Robinson was transported to the police department and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Interfering with arrest, Driving While Intoxicated, Fail to Register a Motor Vehicle and No Operators License. He was released to the Marion County Jail on a 24 Hour Hold. On Tuesday March 5th, a warrant was issued by the 10th Judicial Circuit Court charging Robinson with the Class B Felony of Distribution or Attempt to Distribute a Controlled Substance. Bond was set at $100,000.00 cash only. Robinson remains in the Marion County Jail.
