On Wednesday, 06/21/2017 at 9:15pm, Hannibal Police Officers assigned to the Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad (ACES) received information that a subject with a Shelby County felony warrant for resisting arrest and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia was inside an apartment at 202 Centerville Road. Officers contacted the subject, Jared Majors (40) of Hannibal, and identified themselves as police officers. Majors fled into a room where he began struggling with an officer. Majors was taken into custody and a substance believed to be methamphetamine and syringes were located on his person. During the struggle an officer sustained minor injuries which did not require immediate medical treatment.

 

Majors was charged with the following offenses:

 

  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Resist Arrest for a Felony
  • Assault on Law Enforcement Officer
  • Municipal Warrant
  • Shelby County Felony Warrant

 

Majors was transported to the Shelby County Jail on the warrant and the case is being sent to the Marion County Prosecutor for review.
