On Tuesday 06/28/2016 a warrant was issued for Chad Waters charging him with Distribution of a Controlled Substance (Class B felony).Waters remains in the Marion County Jail on a $100,000 cash only bond.

On Monday afternoon, officers of the Hannibal Police Department conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle, due to the driver, Chad Waters (40 of Hannibal) having a revoked driver’s license. Waters initially failed to stop for officers, but was taken into custody after a short pursuit. After Waters was taken into custody, officers located drug paraphernalia, several grams of what is believed to be methamphetamine and marijuana inside the vehicle. Waters was arrested for Driving While Revoked, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Fail to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute. Waters was placed on a 24 hour hold at the Marion County Jail.
