On Saturday afternoon (11/17/12) officers of the Hannibal Police Department were called to the 1500 block of Viley St. for a report of someone threatening a man with a shotgun. When officer arrived they contacted the complainant, who stated she got into an argument with her neighbor, 21 year old Jason C. Estep of Hannibal. During the argument the complainant’s fiancé came out and Estep allegedly retrieved a shotgun from a vehicle and pointed at the complainant and her fiancé. Estep was arrested on charges of Unlawful Use of a Weapon and placed in the Marion County Jail on a 24 hour hold. On November 18, 2012, the Circuit Court of Marion County issued a warrant charging Estep with Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Bond was set at $25,000.00 cash only. Estep remains in the Marion County Jail. No one was injured during the incident.
