Saturday Night, Officers of the Hannibal Police Department responded to Shawnee Trail for a report of a subject, 36 year old Patrick D. Brown of Hannibal, threatening a female with a gun. The female was not hurt and was able to leave the residence. A short time later, Officers of the Police Departments Special Response Team located Brown in the 2200 block of Market St and, after a short foot pursuit, he was taken into custody. Brown was arrested for Assault 1st, Endangering the welfare of a child, Unlawful use of a weapon and Resisting arrest. He was released to the Marion County Jail pending warrants.
A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
