On Thursday morning, (March 24th) officers of the Hannibal Police Department responded to the Hannibal Inn hotel regarding a 911 call from a female stating she was being held against her will. When officers arrived on scene, they contacted Richard A Reed (24 of Hannibal) who appeared under the influence of drugs. Reed would not allow the officers into the room to check on the female or let the two females, who were in the room with him, out to speak with officers. Reed attempted to shut the door on the officers, who forced their way into the room. Reed was arrest on charges of Felonious Restraint, Interfering with an Investigation and two counts of Resisting arrest. He was released to the Marion County Jail on a 24 hour hold pending a warrant. The two females in the room, ages 22 and 23, were not harmed.
