On October 2nd officers of the Hannibal Police Department received a report of an alleged sex offense that occurred in Hannibal. The reported victim was a 13 year old girl from Hannibal. After a follow up investigation, detectives were able to make an arrest of Solly Bauer 36, of Hannibal. Bauer was arrested on October 12 and held in the Marion County Jail. On Thursday a criminal arrest warrant was issued in the Circuit Court of Marion County charging him with the following: one class B felony of child molestation in the first degree and one class D felony of sexual misconduct involving a child. His bond was set at 100,000 dollars cash only he remains in the Marion County Jail.
A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
