On Saturday April 20th at 1:06 p.m., Officers of the Hannibal Police Department were requested by the Marion County Children’s Division to respond to the Hannibal Regional Hospital to assist with a possible child abuse case. Officer responded and contacted a 3 year old child who had suffered a dislocated and fractured left elbow as well as multiple bruises on both legs, arms, and scalp. The child was taken into protective custody and transported to Cardinal Glennon Hospital for further care. The suspect, Christopher Walker (23 of Hannibal) was taken into custody and transported to the Marion County Jail on a 24 hour hold for child abuse. On April 21st a warrant was issued by the 10th Judicial Court of Marion Count charging Walker with 3 counts of Abuse or Neglect of a Child. Walkers bond was set at $100,000.00 cash only. Walker remains in the Marion County Jail.
