On Friday, March 20th, Officers of the Hannibal Police Department responded to a residence on Fairway Dr for a report of a burglary. When officers arrived, they learned 41 year old Christopher J.M. White, of Hannibal, had entered a home and assaulted another male while he slept. The victim defended himself, causing White to suffer lacerations to his face, which required medical attention. The victim was not injured during the altercation. White then left the area in a vehicle and was stopped by officers a short distance from the home. White was arrested and charged with Burglary 1st Degree and (3) counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. White was placed on a 24 hour hold at the Marion County Jail.
