Officer of the Hannibal Police Department were dispatched by Marion County 911 to the 400 block of N. 4th, Monday afternoon for a report of a burglary. When officers arrived they were told by the victim that two male subjects kicked in the back door of his residence and ordered him to lie on the ground. The subjects collected items from the apartment and fled. The victim provided a description of the suspects to officers and a canvass of the area was conducted. One of the suspects was located in an adjacent apartment. The suspect, 21 year old Devonte D. Hickman of Hannibal, was questioned and admitted to the burglary. Hickman was arrested and placed on a 24 hour hold at the Marion County Jail. The other suspect involved in the burglary is still being sought. On Tuesday, June 24th, a warrant was issued in the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County, charging Hickman with the Class B felony of Burglary 1st Degree. Bond was set at $50,000.00 cash only.
