On Saturday, November 18th, at approximately 11:57a.m. Officers with the Hannibal Police Department responded to the area of Shawnee Trail for a report of gun shots. Witnesses indicated Jydon R. Harnett, 24 of Hannibal, had fired a gun at a car that was in the street. The vehicle had fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival. Harnett had fled into an apartment but exited upon officers’ commands. A bolt action rifle was recovered from the scene and Harnett was transported to the Marion County Jail. He was charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Harnett’s bond was set at $50,000.00 cash only and he remains in the Marion County Jail. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
