On Friday, July 13, 2018 detectives took Haynes into custody in the 200 block of South Main. Haynes was taken to the Marion County Jail and placed on a twenty-four hour hold. Shortly after he was taken to the Marion County Jail a warrant was issued for Assault Second Degree, Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Haynes’ bond was set at $50,000 cash only. He remains in the Marion County Jail.

On Friday, July 6, 2018 officers were called to the 1100 block of Vine for a report of a shooting. Upon investigation officers found multiple rounds had been fired into a residence. Multiple shell casings were recovered from the scene. Gary (Gage) Haynes, 7/26/1999, has been identified as a person of interest in this matter. Haynes could possibly be armed. No injuries were reported as result of the shooting. This matter remains under investigation and more information may be released when appropriate.
