On Monday (02/20/2012) afternoon, a narcotics detective with the Hannibal Police Department was conducting an investigation, when he observed suspicious activity at an abandoned house in the 2100 block of Gordon St. The detective and a patrol officer checked the residence and found it had been broken into. When they entered the residence to secure it, they discovered (3) loaded handguns and a large amount of marijuana. The items were seized and transported to the police department. The marijuana weighed approximately 1408 grams (3.104 lbs.) The investigation into this matter continues and further information will be released when appropriate.
