On Sept. 29, 2015, a criminal arrest warrant was issued in the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County charging Jason S. Coulter 35, of Hannibal with two counts of a Class C felony of Domestic Assault- 2nd degree. This warrant was as a result of a call the police responded to at approximately 4:00 am Sunday of a Domestic Disturbance in the 1000 block of Union Street. According to officers reports; through investigation they discovered that a 25 year old Hannibal woman reported that she had been assaulted by Coulter when he had come to her residence and was attempting to take her car. During the assault the female received physical injuries that required medical attention but were non- life threatening. At the time of the alleged assault Coulter was not located. On Monday at approximately 1:40P officers located him walking in the 2200 block of Market. He was arrested and placed on a 24 hour hold in the Marion County Jail for the assault. His bond was set at 50,000.00 cash only and he remains in the Marion County Jail.
