On Tuesday, June 03 2014, Officers of the Hannibal Police Department were called to the Hannibal Regional Hospital for a report of possible child abuse. When officers arrived, it was determined the victim, a 7 week old infant, had injuries consistent with possible abuse. Due to the severity of the infants’ injuries, the child was transferred to a hospital in the St. Louis area. This investigation is on-going and more information will be released when appropriate.

In connection to an assault case reported on June 3, 2014, Dustin T Dye, 29, of Hannibal was arrested on Saturday evening, June 7, 2014 at 9:13 pm. He was arrested in Hannibal at a family member’s home without incident.
