On Wednesday morning at 9:10 a.m. the Marion County Emergency Dispatch Center received a call from Casey’s General Store reporting a robbery. According to witnesses, a suspect describes as a white male wearing a hooded sweatshirt with his face covered brandished a shot gun and demanded money from the clerk. He then left the area in a blue colored vehicle. While on scene officers received information that a vehicle matching the suspect’s was traveling on James Road. A Hannibal officer checked the area and located the vehicle in question parked in a driveway in the 3100 blk. of James Road. Officers observed the vehicle to be unoccupied and sat up a security perimeter around the residence. After several minutes officers located and arrested two subjects from a detached garage next to the residence. Officers by use of a patrol car’s public address speaker made several announcements for any occupants in the main residence to exit. After several announcements were made over the loud speaker and with no response the Hannibal Police Department’s Special Response Team entered the residence to look for any additional suspects. The Special Response Team deployed a distraction device (flash bang) just prior entering and searching the residence due to the nature of the initial call. No injuries were reported at the scene of the robbery or at the location of the arrests. The Hannibal Police Department was assisted by The Missouri State Patrol and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department. Further information will be released as it is appropriate to do so.

A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
