On Monday, September 9th, the 10th Judicial District Court of Marion County issued a warrant for Brendon W. Lake, 29 of Hannibal, charging him with Burglary, Stealing, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The charges stem from an incident that began on Sunday, September 8th, at 7:59 a.m. in the 3600 block of Stardust. Northeast Emergency Communication Center received a 911 call stating a male, later identified as Lake, threw a rock through the front door of a business that was closed then entered the business and removed items while inside. Lake was gone prior to officers. At approximately 12:40 p.m. officers saw Lake walking in the 1200 block of Broadway. He was taken into custody without incident. Lake was searched incident to arrest and officers recovered items that had been stolen from the burglary. Lake’s bond was set at $25,000.00 cash or surety. He remains in the Marion County Jail.
