On Tuesday officers of the Hannibal Police Department were called to the 200 block of South Main for a report of a delayed disturbance. Upon arrival officers found a 27 year old female from Jefferson City Missouri with facial injuries. According to officers reports the female had gone to an apartment in the 300 block of South Main to retrieve a set of keys to her vehicle while doing so she alleged that she had been assaulted by being punched several times in the face by another female suspect. The victim was treated by EMS at the scene and transferred to Hannibal Regional ER. Further investigation by officers led to the identification of a suspect who was subsequently arrested on Thursday and placed on a 24 hour hold in the Pike County Jail. On 12-2-2011 a criminal arrest warrant was issued in the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County charging Princell A. Williams, of Hannibal with a Class C Felony of Assault in the 2nd Degree, the bond was set at 25,000.00 cash only and she is being held at the Marion County Jail.

A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
