On Tuesday, November 16th, the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County issued a warrant for Kristen M Surgeon, 32 of Hannibal, for Abuse or Neglect of a Child. On Friday, November 12th, Detectives with the Hannibal Police Department were requested to assist Marion County Children’s Division at an area educational facility. At the facility detectives saw a child under the age of 5 that had obvious signs of injury. It is believed Surgeon was responsible for the injuries the child had sustained. Surgeon was taken into custody without incident. The injuries to the child are believed to be nonlife threatening. Surgeon’s bond was set at $10,000.00 cash or surety.
