On Friday, June 20th, the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County issued warrants for Heather A. Coleman, 45 of Yellville AR, and Kenneth E. Coleman, 48 of Harrison AR. H. Coleman was charged with Trafficking Drugs and Possession of a Controlled Substance. K. Coleman was charged with Trafficking Drugs. The charges stem from an incident that began on Thursday at approximately 1:28pm in the 400 block of Huck Finn Shopping Center for a report of stealing. Prior to officers arrival the person had left. Officers obtained a description of the person and vehicle. A short time later, officers located and stopped the vehicle. The license plate had been stolen from Springfield MO and magnetically secured to the original Arkansas license plate. H. Coleman was contacted and taken into custody. K. Coleman was contacted inside a business in the 3600 block of Stardust and brought to the police department. The vehicle was towed to the police department and detectives applied for a search warrant for the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle officers located stolen items, devices used to remove security tags, items commonly used for packaging drugs, a substance believed to be methamphetamine, and 334 capsules believed to be fentanyl. Both Coleman’s remain in the Marion County Jail with bonds set at $75,000.00 cash only.
A criminal charge is merely an allegation, and the defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
