Altercation at Business leads to Arrest and Medical Treatment

On Monday, March 25, 2019, a warrant was issued by the 10th Judicial Court of Marion County charging Damien X. Fugate with Assault 2nd Degree. Fugate’s bond was set at $10,000.00 cash or surety. He remains in the Marion County Jail.

On Sunday, March 24, 2019, at 3:38 p.m. officers responded to Hardee’s at 2900 James Road for an assault. It was reported a male subject was verbally abusive to both employees and patrons of the business. Eventually a physical altercation erupted between the male and employees of the business. As a result of the altercation the male suffered serious injuries from the altercation and was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital then transferred to Blessing Hospital for further treatment. Damien X. Fugate, 33 of Hannibal, was taken into custody for assault. Fugate was transported to the Marion County Jail on a twenty-four hour hold.  The injured male subject is still being treated at Blessing Hospital.
