On Wednesday, June 2nd, Detectives with the Hannibal Police Department arrested Amy Jo Allen, 27 of Hannibal, for having inappropriate contact with a student. The 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County issued an arrest warrant for Allen. Allen is charged with Second Degree Statutory Sodomy, Child Molestation, and Sexual Contact with a Student. Her bond was set at $50,000.00 cash only. The arrest stems from an investigation that began on Wednesday, May 26th. The Hannibal Public School District notified the Hannibal Police Department that a paraprofessional allegedly had inappropriate contact with a student. The investigation is ongoing and additional information will be released if deemed appropriate. Allen remains in the Marion County Jail.
