On Friday April 19, 2019 at around 2:55p.m. Officers of the Hannibal Police Department responded to the F&M Bank at 505 Broadway St. in regards to a disturbance occurring inside the bank. It was reported a male inside the bank was wielding a hammer like weapon and demanding money from the bank. Officers arrived on scene and contacted the suspect outside the bank in the 500 block of Broadway. The suspect, Gary L. Haynes, 42 of Hannibal, was placed under arrest, without incident, on the charge of Robbery 1st. Gary was placed on a 24 hour hold and released to the Marion County jail. No employees of the bank were injured during the incident. On April 20, 2019 the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County issued an arrest warrant for $50,000 Cash Only on Gary L. Haynes for Unlawful use of a weapon.
