A warrant was issued on March 19th by the 10th Judicial Court of Marion County charging Brenda J Watkins with Assault 2nd Degree and Armed Criminal Action for the the assault on a Hannibal man early Monday morning. Watkins bond was set at $50,000.00 cash only. She remains in the Marion County Jail.
***UPDATE***
At 12:20 Monday afternoon, a 21 year old Hannibal female was taken into custody for her involvement in the early morning assault on a Hannibal man. The suspect was arrested on charges of Assault 1st Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. She is being placed on a 24 hour hold at the Marion County Jail pending prosecutor review.
***ORIGINAL RELEASE***
Officers of the Hannibal Police Department were called to the 100 block of Dulaney St at 08:35 to check the wellbeing of a man on the ground. When officers arrived, they discovered the man had a stab wound to his abdomen. The victim was transported to St Louis by Life Flight. At this time, officers do not believe this was a random act and there is no threat to the general public. The investigation is on-going.
