On Wednesday September 19, 2018 at approximately 1609 hours officers assigned to the Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad (ACES) attempted to serve a felony probation violation warrant on Gregory Flowers (26 of Hannibal) at 8B Starlight Ridge. After refusing to exit the residence for some time Flowers was eventually arrested out of the residence. Cassandra Polston (28 of Hannibal) was also arrested for Hindering Prosecution and resisting arrest. A subsequent search of the residence resulted in finding a .22 caliber handgun and substance testing positive for Methamphetamine. Two children were removed from the home by Children’s Services. Additional charges are pending on Flowers for possession of meth, drug paraphernalia, unlawful use of a weapon, and felon in possession of a firearm. Flowers is currently held in the Marion County Jail on his probation warrant. Polston was released pending review for hindering prosecution, resisting arrest, and endangering the welfare of a child. Officers learned an infant child had recently been moved from that location to another location in Hannibal. Upon further investigation into that matter officers and Children’s Division staff responded to the 4000 block of Market, where two other children were taken into protective custody and the following subjects were arrested.

Adams was transported to the Marion County Jail for his Illinois warrant. Brittney and Jayson Flowers were released pending review by the Marion County Prosecutor. This matter remains under investigation.
