A warrant has been issued by the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County charging Tion S. Dorsey (28 of Mexico Mo) with Assault 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action, following his involvement in the Wednesday night shooting on St Marys Ave. Dorsey’s bond is set at $100,000.00 cash only and he remains in the Marion County Jail. Another suspect, Myron S. Mahaney (18 of Hannibal) is still at large and is being sought by Hannibal Police Department officers. Although Mahaney should be considered armed and dangerous, the Hannibal Police Department wants assure the public, Wednesdays shooting was an isolated incident between subjects who have been involved in an on-going dispute. This incident remains under investigation and more arrests may be pending.

***ORIGINAL RELEASE***

Officers of the Hannibal Police Department responded to the 2600 block of St Marys Ave Wednesday night at 8:47 p.m. for a report of gun shots. When officers arrived on scene they learned shots had been fired at a residence from a vehicle occupied by several subjects. The vehicle then fled the scene. One subject at the residence suffered a gunshot wound to the arm and was treated on scene by Marion County EMS. The suspect vehicle was located and stopped a short time later. 4 subjects, (3 adults and 1 juvenile) were taken into custody.  This incident remains under investigation and more information will be released at a later time.
