On Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at approximately 11:20 a.m. officers of the Hannibal Police Department responded to the area of US Hwy 79 and the eastbound exit of I72 to a report of a two vehicle rollover accident. An investigation revealed a 1998 Cadillac Deville driven by 83 YOA w/m of Shelbina read ended 2008 Honda Ridgeline driven by 64 YOA w/m of Elk Grove Village Il. The Cadillac flipped and ended up on its roof, the occupants of both vehicles had to be extricated by fire personnel. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and had to be towed from the scene. The drivers and passenger in both vehicle sustained injuries and all four were transported by ambulance to Blessing Hospital for treatment. The Police Department was assisted by Hannibal Fire Department and Marion County Ambulance personal. This accident remains under investigation.
