Search Warrant and Drug Arrest @ 109 North Maple AVE

On Thursday, 01/05/2017, Hannibal Police Officers assigned to the Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad (ACES) executed a search warrant 109 North Maple Ave. after reports of drug sales at the location. The Hannibal Police Special Response Team (SRT) was activated to assist in the execution of the search warrant.
During execution of the warrant the resident, Vanell B. Williams Jr. (32), formerly of St. Louis Missouri, was believed to be destroying evidence. Williams was arrested and placed on a 24 hour hold for possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamine, and tampering with physical evidence.
The Hannibal Police Department was assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol K9 Unit.
Friday, 01/06/17 an arrest warrant was issued for Williams from the 10th Judicial Circuit. Marion County Court charging him with Possession of Controlled Substance Expect 35 Grams or less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid a Class D Felony. Bond was set at $50,000 cash only.January 6th, 2017
