At 03:41 a.m. November 1st, a Hannibal Police officer was patrolling the storage units, located in in the area of Corporate Square and located a suspicious vehicle. When the officer investigated the vehicle, he discovered Jordan T Taylor (24 of New London MO) near the car. Taylor initially gave false information to the officer about his identity. After detaining and questioning Taylor further, the officer learned Taylors real name and that he had several active Marion County warrants. The officer also located a cut pad lock inside the vehicle. When other officers arrived on the scene the storage units were searched and a unit was located with a missing lock. When officers entered the unit they located burglary tools inside a stored vehicle and Joseph A Berry (24 of Hannibal) attempting to hide behind the vehicle. Berry was taken into custody without incident. Upon searching both subjects, officers located substances believed to be marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Berry was arrested on charges of Burglary 2nd degree, Possession of Burglary Tools, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Property Damage. Taylor was arrested on charges of Burglary 2nd Degree, Possession of Burglary Tools, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Interfering, Property Damage and (4) active warrants. Both suspects were placed on 24 hour holds at the Marion County Jail.
