On Wednesday (Aug 24th) at approximately 11:28 p.m., an officer with the Hannibal Police Department stopped a vehicle for speed on Grand Ave. The Ralls County Sheriffs Dept K9 was called to the scene and alerted on the vehicle. A search was conducted on the vehicle and the driver, Joshua G Evans (37 of Quincy IL). During the search, a substance believed to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located. When officers located the substances, Evans attempted to flee the scene on foot. Evans was apprehended after a short pursuit and taken into custody.  Evans was arrested on charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Manufacturing and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Resisting Arrest and Speeding. He was released to the Lewis County Sheriffs Department on a 24 hour hold. On August 25th, a warrant was issued by the 10th Judicial Court of Marion County, charging Evans with Trafficking in Drugs 2nd Degree, Manufacturing a Controlled Substance and Resisting Arrest. His bond was set at $100,000.000 cash only. He remains in custody.
