On Wednesday (June 15) an officer of the Hannibal Police Department made contact with a male known to have warrants on the parking lot of a business in the 4200 Block of McMasters. Upon making contact with the subject and attempting to take him into custody he fled on foot from the officer in an attempt to elude arrest. He was chased a short distance from the scene and later taken into custody without further incident. Arrested was Damon G. Kyle 18, of Hannibal on the following charges: a warrant issued out of Marion County Missouri for a felony failure to appear on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, a warrant issued out of Ralls County Missouri for a probation violation (misdemeanor,) interfering or resisting arrest (felony,) and possession of drug paraphernalia. No injuries were reported at the scene. Kyle was lodged in the Marion County Jail.
