The Hannibal Police Department’s Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad (ACES) executed a narcotics search warrant Tuesday afternoon at a residence located at 548 Lunar Drive.  Several items used in the manufacturing and sales of narcotics (believed to be methamphetamine) and items of drug paraphernalia were located within the residence.  Several people were arrested at the scene for various charges:

  • Gera M. Hatfield-Sinclair 25, of Hannibal was arrested for possession of a controlled substance  (felony,) possession of drug paraphernalia (felony,) interfering or resisting arrest (felony,) and  assault on a law enforcement officer (misdemeanor.) She was taken to the Marion County Jail and placed on a 24 hour hold.
  • Jason S. Bates 33, of Hannibal was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia (felony,) he was also taken into custody for a probation violation warrant (felony.) He was taken to the Marion County Jail.
  • Joseph M. Bentley 37, of Hannibal was arrested for possession of a controlled substance (misdemeanor.) He was released pending the filing of formal charges.
  • Daniel J. Whitney 32, of St. Louis was arrested for possession of a controlled substance (felony,) and possession of drug paraphernalia (felony,) he was also taken into custody for a probation violationwarrant (felony.)  He was taken to the Marion County Jail.

This warrant is a part of an on-going effort by the Hannibal Police Department and the Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad to combat the illegal sales and use of narcotics in the Hannibal area.
