On 11/28/2015 at 0158 hours, officers were dispatched to 2420 Chestnut Street in Hannibal for a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival officers contacted Raymond York, 27, who pointed a long gun at officers and then barricaded himself in the residence along with other subjects. York later exited the residence and contacted officers indicating he wanted the officers to harm him. York was taken into custody at the residence and it was determined that the long gun brandished by York was actually a pellet gun. One resident reported a minor injury but medical treatment was requested at the scene. York was placed in the Marion County Jail on a 24 hour hold for domestic assault, unlawful use of a weapon, endangering the welfare of a child, felonious restraint, assault on law enforcement, and resisting arrest.

Later on 11/28/2015 a warrant was filed in the Associate Circuit Court of Marion County charging York with Assault 2nd Degree on a Law Enforcement officer, a class C felony. York’s bond was set at $50,000 cash only.
