On Friday April 3rd a warrant was issued in the 10th Judicial Circuit Court charging Gregory N. Flowers with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Receiving Stolen Property and Unlawful Possess of an Illegal Weapon. All charges are Class C Felonies. Flowers bond was set at $50,000.00. He remains in the Marion County Jail.

Officers of the Hannibal Police Department were investigating a burglary report, in which a handgun, stun gun and computer equipment had been taken, Tuesday morning. Officers developed information the possible suspect was at a residence in the 1200 block of Fulton Ave. When officers contacted one of the residents of the home, they were told the suspect was not there and were given consent to search the home. When officers entered the residence, they discovered several subjects attempting to hide and located narcotics and drug paraphernalia in plain view. The subjects were detained while Hannibal Detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence. During the execution of the search warrant, officers located the computer, stun gun and pistol which had been taken during the earlier burglary. Also located were substances believed to be marijuana and methamphetamine, several items of drug paraphernalia, syringes and a military explosive device, that was seized and destroyed by Army personnel from Fort Leonard Wood Mo. The Department of Family Services was called to the scene and took custody of three small children who lived in the home. Four subjects were arrested on various charges. Gregory N. Flowers (23, of Hannibal) was charged with Burglary 1st Degree, Armed Criminal Action, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Resisting Arrest, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Phillip M Egbert (18 of Hannibal) was charged with Resisting Arrest, Clayton R. Waelder (17 of New London) was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting Arrest. Jochris D. James (17 of Hannibal) was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting Arrest. Flowers were released to the Marion County Jail on a 24 hour hold. All other suspects were released pending warrants.
